Our pets all have their quirky behaviors, and Byron no exception. We have so many photos of him sleeping that you would think that’s all he does. Well, it certainly is one of his preferred activities. This particular sleeping pose is one of our favorites. He extends his upper hind leg towards his front legs, making a pillow of paws on which to rest his weary head.

I planned this pair of portraits as a value and texture study. My aim was to bring to life his fuzzy paws and wrinkled face.
